Comments about ‘Letter: '60 Minutes' interview with Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell was useless’

Not once did Steve Croft mention anything about the #1 cause of gridlock, money. All we ever get is excuses. It's going to be up to us to rattle the cages.

You did not hear "an answer that made sense on why the two parties couldn't pass or compromise on important legislation" because there is none. It is politics and power not principle that guides most (not all) of the lack of compromise.

This is where we agree, Twin Lights. Politics ueber alles! The first consideration for any politician is to do whatever is necessary to get re-elected. All other actions flow from that goal.
