....and THIS, dear readers, is the result of privatization of government jobs.
Prior to "contracting out" many Hill AFB jobs, workers were able to pay for health insurance and contribute to retirement.
NOW...under privatization, the contractors can do the work "cheaper", because they don't have to pay livable wages and/or provide insurance/retirement. In 2014, the contractors will have to provide health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.
But right now, a hard-working man has insurmountable medical bills that the rest of us will end up paying for, one way or another.
YOU could be "privatized" next. Let this be a lesson.
