What about the offsides rule in soccer. Goals would go up if that was not a rule.

I don't agree with you on the baseball change, Mike. Baseball is the only team sport without a clock which makes it unique - if you ad a timer it beoomes like every other sport. Besides, players already pay a penalty for slow play - if a pitcher keeps throwing to first or shaking off signs it puts his defense to sleep and keeps him from getting in a rhythm.

No clock needed in baseball.

No way

would like to see changes for soccer and hockey nets. That way goalie would need to stretch more like splits position and longer arms.

Leave baseball alone.

Get rid of soccer 'flopping'. If a player goes down on the field holding a leg, head, ankle etc. that the referee stops the game to investigate and the player isn't unconscious or doesn't have blood gushing or a bone protruding will either be disqualified from the match or be required to play the remainder of the game naked

Stop the referees in the NBA from giving superstars VIP treatment with their calling fouls. The game should be decided by how hard you play not how many underwear endorsements you have.

Soccer. Make the goal 2 meters wider, and 1 meter taller. Nil/Nil games are so uninteresting. Maybe allow 5 points for a goal, 1 point for kicking it above the goal. And dump the red/yellow card thing and implement a penalty box like in hockey.

Soccer: you don't need to make the goal bigger, just make the field smaller and make it 7 vs. 7.

How about just allowing contact in basketball so I don't have to watch 30 minutes of foul shots every game.

I have to agree with most of these. I'm not sure how you put a time limit on baseball. Its a nineteenth century game designed for people with way too much time on their hands. I suppose there could be a rule to allow only 30 seconds between pitches or something. That's about the only thing I can think of that might speed things up.

There is no clock in volleyball. Some Track events. What other sports don't use clocks? How about a goalie in bball or football. Hard to do though. Scoring would go down. Leave kicking game in football alone that is part of the game. College bball gets too many timeouts I think. Tv Timeouts that is. Can't watch it more than 5 minutes at a time without commercials. Used to not have media timeout before free throw do now though.

There is a real mickey mouse mercy rule used in High School games. Idaho used to have one for 11 man don't anymore but in 8 and 6 man football if a team is ahead by more than 45 points after halftime game is over. Who invented that stupid rule. Also in Idaho in basketball if a team is ahead by 30 points in a regular season game during the 4th quarter running clock is used. Same as some areas of 8 man football. Who invented those silly rules?
