Last year, after a major tornado and flood struck the United States, Romney was asked in a debate about federal disaster relief funding. Romney not only suggested shuttering FEMA and sending responsibility for disaster relief back to the private sector, but also said it would be immora for the federal government to fund disaster relief efforts without cutting the budget elsewhere It makes no sense at all Romney concluded.

Truthseeker,

I believe I heard Obama say, "how can we blame this one on Bush".

@WRK

I believe I heard him say to take the warnings seriously and if ordered to evacuate to do so. Where did you hear what you quoted?

Well, 'Truthseeker', let's look at the truth, shall we? He said it made more sense for the States to handle disaster relief rather than the federal govt. What about that do you not like? Aren't the states in better position to determine local disaster needs and relief? Why should the federal government be involved in that? But, let's keep going Forward--right into bankruptcy.

Let's see?:

* only the feds can handle education. Hmm? Half our people are on the dole.
* the feds have rung up a sixteen trillion dollar deficit
* the feds have come up with free trade agreements causing massive unemployment.

Romney was right! Let the states handle their relief efforts.
