I am a firm disliker of Notre Dame football, and have had the opportunity to go to games there. What Coach is missing is something you only understand by going to a game at Notre Dame - the intangibles of playing in a place of football lore in front of fans that show loyalty to their team beyond anything a Utah team has seen before. For lack of better words, there truly is a mystic about the place, and if Coach doesn't think those are going to come into play - that this is just business - then he isn't preparing his team for what they are heading into.

I still don't like Notre Dame, as many times as I have been there, but I truly respect the program, the tradition, and yes the fans, that showed up even at the final game of a one win season. They were there hours before the game, filled every seat, and stayed until the final whistle.

This is not an ordinary away game. This is a game that has over 100 plus years of tradition behind it. Its the tradition, the history, and yes, the fans.

Once again, we have a coach and program that really don't seem to understand what they are doing. This game will also be broadcast nationwide on NBC. If the Cougars wanted a real "stage" to perform on, they will have one on Saturday. If they play as they have done previously this year, ND may be looking to drop the series for greener pastures. There is simply a focus that is missing in a once great footbal program. I guess we will watch it all again on Saturday.
