Moderate Mitt making a determined effort to move to the middle? This is
amazing. In order to get elected, he will reject the love of the Tea Party,
talk about compromise, and abandon his "severely conservative" beliefs?
What a dramatic turn of events. Mitt will actually become a version of Barack
Obama to better defeat Barack Obama. What do movement conservatives think about
this?In appealing to women, Romney will have to embrace women's
issues in direct contradiction to his previously stated positions demanded by
social conservatives. It might mean that the right-wing will turn against him
unless this is all show. We have to wait and see what his campaign says to
"correct" his new stand. We will see what the religious right says.
And what does it do to Paul Ryan's presidential aspirations when he takes
stronger positions contrary to what he's been saying his entire career?Ah, but if it were true. Wishful thinking.
Welfare is up 32% in four years...seems like it should be easy if the media
would do their job and report straight facts from government sources themselves.
And with today's jobless claims report showing 46,000 more jobless claims,
it truly is a no brainer. But what is heartbreaking is that people
are no longer educated as to personal and economic freedoms. The crux of the
whole matter goes beyond economics to the question; do we want socialism or
freedom? Yes, I know many liberals claim Obama is not a socialist. They ignore
not only his past and his actions, but they ignore decades of dictionary
definitions of socialism for a new, twisted version. Revisionist history and
definitions are blinding half of our nation.
SammyB Provo, UTAsk yourself the question: What led to this Great
Recession? With the economy going into free-fall in the Fall of 2008 and
continuing into 2009, are you the only person on the planet who cannot draw a
straight line? The issue is how do we (I mean, we, as in all the
American people) get out of this? The wealthy are doing just fine. Look at the
stock market. Look at Wall Street profits. They're all up beyond 2008
levels. But the people really hurt are the middle class and their recovery has
been extremely, exasperatingly slow. Why? That's the question.Because it's an election year, Republicans don't want to do anything
to help a Democratic president. No jobs bill. No infrastructure bill.
Nothing. Nada. Unemployment is now back to where it was when Barack Obama
became president. Not great. But not the mess economists predicted. Without a
huge infusion of money (I'm a Keynesian) the recovery has been painfully
slow.Another question: Why couldn't the Republicans field their
best candidate? Perhaps the best choices chose to let this election go until
things got better. Who want's it.
Sam, President Obama is not a socialist.
Romney is the best person for the job. No one is harder working or better at
bringing all sides to the table to solve problems.Obama has made
things much worse since he got into office. Fact checkers showed how many lies
he told Tuesday including legislation to cripple coal and oil. He kept almost
none of his promises, how can you be okay with that? He has no plan for the
future. Even ultra-liberal CBS ran an article today complaining about that
fact.Obama was closely connected in his teen years to Frank Marshall
who no one disputes was a card carrying communist. He was a close friend of
Obama's mother, I've seen many photos of them together. If you study
communism, the writings of Engels, Marx, and Lenin as I have, then you know
without any question that Obama is socialist. To say he isn't means you
believe the brand new definition or...
Obama is Hillary Clinton's boss and he takes full responsibility for Libya
and deaths of Americans.Isn't Obama also Eric Holder's
boss, and over two and a half thousands weapons past through ATF to Mexican
cartels? Many men, women, and children were killed with American weapons.
Obama put out an execute order to block an investigation.Instead of
focusing on Romney's war on women, why doesn't he explain fast and
furious to the American people?
New poll has Romney up by 4 in PA.
