    The adjective "Western" in the Taliban statement was superfluous.

    The Nobel peace prize committee should consider this courageous young woman as a recipient.

    I have two observations.

    1) Mohammed is credited with having said, "Seek knowledge even if you have to go to China." In otherwords, travel to the ends of the earth to seek knowledge because it is really important. If Mohammed was around, I think that he would be a strong advocate for women's education. Would the Taliban want to shoot him?

    2) The West is not at war with Islam as much as the Taliban are at war with Islam.

    I would really like to see an angry crowd in Pakistan protesting the Taliban's blasphemy and vowing revenge.
