Economic growth (positive or negative) is measured by the percentage change in the Gross Domestic Product. Other frequently quoted economic statistics touting growth are influenced by the GDP, but they are not the measure of true economic growth.

Based upon the following published GDP numbers, this economy is NOT growing:

3.02% for 2010
1.70% for 2011
1.30% through the 2nd Quarter for 2012

These are not the numbers representative of a growing economy – the numbers are going in the wrong direction.

The Obama Administration cooked the books to get their current economic numbers. The numbers in November, while still inaccurate, will get us a little closer to the truth.
