There are only 2 occasions when Ute football players will get to see the inside of the Rose Bowl:

1) During the regular season
2) As fans

Not only are "You" not in a BCS Conference.....
Come 2014, No Team will be......The BCS is soon to be Obsolete.

Future generations will ask their Fathers...What's a BCS Daddy?
And they will say, It doesn't matter...It's Irelevant.

And then they'll ask....Daddy, which team in Utah has had.....

1-A Heisman Trophy Winner
2-Outland Trophy Winners
3-College Hall of Famers
4-A Super Bowl MVP
5-Two NFL MVP's
6-Davey O'Brien and Doak Walker winners
7-A Unanimous National Championship

And then, like today, the answer will be Well, BYU of course.

Then Utah, can settle into their rightful place as their Conference Bottomfeeder.

They will then be free to remove the Pac-12 logo from their helmets, cars, homes, lamp posts, lamp shades, children, lawn mowers, weed whackers, dogs, cats, bikes, washers, dryers, caskets, wives, ipads, chimneys, lunch buckets, mail boxes and garbage cans.....

And then settle into their new address @

I hope the O line can continue their strong play from last week. Hays or Wilson will both need some time to get rid of the ball and the line did pretty good last week.

UCLA is one of the most improved teams this year and the Utes have struggled to put together a complete game so far. That being said, the Utes still have a chance to win if our offense can sustain some drives - too many 3 and outs last week that doesn't give our defense time to rest.

@bluto - that was quite a story. You can keep telling it to yourself if it helps you through the pain of knowing that the Utes have owned your mighty cougs for the last decade. I just hope your grandchildren don't ask how your cougs did after 1984. Too funny.

Go Utes!

Hey Chris, I changed my mind. Instead of attending the BYU game I purchased two tickets for Utah's game in the Rose Bowl. Will you go with me? I heard the fans down there are very friendly. We could drink some cold ones and watch Utah lose together.

I understand the significance of playing in the Rose Bowl because Rice Eccles is a crumby place to play. I am proud of the Utes for creating a winning program in sub-par facilities all these years.

Go Utes.

Hope Hays can take another step forward this week. The Utah offense showed they can be successful when they execute well against USC, especially during the 2nd quarter. Hope the offense can put together a solid 4 quarters. If they do, they've got a good chance at winning this game.

Really? I mean, this is an article about John White, the Utes' outstanding RB, and his return to his hometown, playing UCLA in the historic Rose Bowl, and you have to come on our article and post a bunch of irrelevant facts about BYU's glory days of 30 years ago? And, of course, you get your characteristic cheap jab at the Utes.

Why not be a true fan and follow your own football team? You (and duckhunter/sammy) are more obsessed with tearing down Utah than following the progress of your own team.

Goll, 3-8 is a total flukes. We would beat UCLA and the PAC 11 every time we played in the PAc 11.
