Actually she just threw money at the problem. That's pretty much the Romneys' answer to anything and everything.

Ann Romney is a decent and respected wife and mother. She responds to hate with love and kindness. of course you'd expect that from someone who lives the principles her church teaches. Instead of envying what she has most of us appreciate what she and her husband have done for others.

Play that envy card all ya want, not all of us worship the almighty dollar.

The widows mite mean anything to a diehard conservative like yourself, rifleman?

Thanks HVH -- my husband and I are both widow's mite people. While we have not given the dollar amount the Romneys give, I wouldn't be surprised to see that our percentage of time and money exceeds theirs. We give liberally of the little have.

Rifleman - if you think the Romneys have given so much, please tell me what facilities they have endowed so that people with MS who are not wealthy can have the same access to and use of horses that Ann had. Given what Ann's dressage horses cost to buy and maintain, and the fact that their pet (horse) ownership is written off as a business expense on their tax returns, that endowment of horse facilities would have to be in the 6 to 7 figure range to be significant at all. This isn't intended to be a snarky comment -- I would really like to know. Do you know if they have given that much? Or are they just posing?

Are you asking if the Romney's have trumpeted their charity from the rooftops? Personally I don't think it is any of my business how much and to what charities they have given. I do know that Mitt took no salary when he was asked to bail out the 2002 Winter Olympics, nor while he was governor. There is no moral or legal responsibility for those with money to give to me, you, or anybody else.

Liberals always tell the rest of us not to judge others, but that rule does not seem to apply to them.

What needs to be said over and over is that the tax write-off from her hobby is more than most Americans earn in a year. Romney's are woefully out of touch.

What needs to be said is that Americans have every right to take full advantage of the tax laws and tax right-offs in the tax code. It doesn't make anyone more patriotic to pay one penny more than they owe in taxes.

If the Romney's are cheating on their taxes you can bet your last dollar that the IRS would have gone after them long before now.

The liberals may not worship the almighty dollar ..... they just want what someone else has earned.
