Proud Ute

Sorry to burst your arrogant bubble, but with games at Notre Dame, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, and West Virginia (in Washington DC) on the horizon, there's absolutely no reason for BYU fans to be in the least bit "envious" of the Utes playing in the Rose Bowl, something BYU has already done on many occasions.

Yes USU beat Utah. Every dog has their day. As for the Utah losing to UCLA theory based on the USU game. Please! Utah's offensive line has come a long way since then. Utah allowed one sack from USC, and Hays didn't take shots after the release either.

USU fumbled 5 times, Utah forcing three, and each bounce went USU's way. Yes you won at home in overtime on an offensive pass interference call after getting outscored 20-7 in regulation after being up 13-0. Utah played a horrible game, and you got a win for the first time in 15 years.

Spokane Ute was right. You are getting puffy. Then Duckhunter comes in with a jazzle dazzle defense. Really guys? USU worked over Utah eh? Okay, if that's the best you can do. This from Duckhunter, who's Cougars have been worked over 8 of the last 11 years head to head against Utah. I could back off the worked over comment if ya'll can do the same. Bounces and close calls happen.

Worked over, Utah blew out BYU in 2004, 2008, and 2011. BYU last did that in 1996.

Solomon Levi I would not get warm fuzzies about the teams on schedule in years to come.
They can change and back out at any time. Notre Dame for one. Ohio St. dumped its mid major plans and just signed TCU.
I would not be surprised to see one or more of those schools you mentioned reduce or back out all together from their agreements with BYU. Those schools will work on improving their OOC games to improve strength of schedule. I doubt they are interested in our legacy of scheduling bottom feeder WAC teams all the time. That does not help them at all.

Proud Ute I would not get warm fuzzies about our odds of being competitive in years to come.
The teams we play out recruit us constantly. USC for one, their worst player would be our best player. We even lost to Colorado.
I would not be surprised to see one or more of those schools beat us every year for as long as we are in the PAC12. Those schools will have to work on improving their OOC games to improve strength of schedule because playing us will always drag theirs down. I doubt they are interested in our legacy of never winning any conference championships in any sport. That does not help them at all.

BYU has only played in the Rose Bowl 5 times, going 1-4 in those games.
