I thought we were all Americans here.
From the letter
"Since the program began at Payson High School, the graduation rate among Latinos has been 100 percent, and 85 percent of them enroll in college."
Is the graduation rate of 100 percent for ALL Latinos in Payson High School or for those in this program?
The Latino population of Payson HS is way above 21 students.
The Latinos in Action program works miracles. LIA has taken the demographic group with the lowest graduation and made a huge difference. I believe the 100% graduation rate is for the students in the LIA program. Statewide, the impact of LIA is tremendous. And in addition the mentoring of elementary students and the scholarship opportunities for high schoolers are really having a positive effect.
Way to do some good in the world!
