"...that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable rights..." Not government Mr. President. Government gives you nothing. The Founding Fathers put the word Creator because they knew that not all people believe in God. However, most people believe in a Creator.

The Government is not our creator. The only person capable of giving and taking our rights is the God of Heaven. The more we forget that principle, the faster we will fall.

Here is Mitt

blah blah blah no answer to a direct question about what kind of deductions he is going to cut.

blah blah blah blah no answer to how he is going to secure medicate for people under 55.

blah blah blah blah no better answer for how to keep insurance companies from hurting people who have a significant illness from being dropped by an insurance company. Like we can trust insurance companies.

Based on what their respective super-PACS have been saying abut the other, I would have expected a less warm and cozy handshake.

Now I am even less sure what Mitt Romney stands for. He's campaigned on the idea of cutting taxes for the rich to generate jobs, then in the debate he says he has no plans to cut taxes for the rich. I wonder if he just pulled a fast one on the rich, or if they are in on the joke.

Maybe I'll wait and see what Mitt stands for tomorrow.

Was that ever uneventful!! Mitt was definetly in attack mode, which most teams do when they're down by 10 with just a few minutes to play. Obama was definetly to nice. He better start to attack Mitt on his poor job performance as Govenor, his flip flopping on the issues, and personal greed or Mitt could find himself in the White House by default.

What is Romney's tax cut plan now? The rich only keep the Bush tax cut and other cuts if it does not raise the deficit? Good luck with that...read his lips tax raise.

Mitt just gave Obama the worst anniversary present ever, destroying him in the debate. Hope Michelle has something nicer for him.

Romney/Ryan 2012!

Obama was way too passive, hardly went after Romney on so so many things. Romney won the debate, but winning a debate doesn't mean you'd be the better President especially since Romney lied through his teeth. On taxes, Medicare, regulation...

I Bleed Blue,

Here is Obama

uh... lies about what Mitt has said...
uh... desperate failed attempt to make his record look ok...
hu... tries to explain how doing the same thing as the last 4 years will have different results...

Romney aced it in spite of given less time to respond than Obama.

Kind of like Romney being elected to President IN SPITE of total media support going to Obama.

When Obama called out Romney for not giving specifics on his healthcare idea, I think Romney should have responded with "We have to pass it before we can find out what's in it!".

Obama looked very nervous the whole night, that feeling you get when you realize that all your preparation didn't prepare you well enough. It's almost as if he believed the lies that his campaign has been putting out, and expecting Romney to parrot them back. News flash for Obama: Romney is for real.

And props to Romney for stamping out Obama's continuous lie about Romney's "$5 trillion tax plan". It looks like Obama was pursuing the tactic of repeatedly telling a lie, letting it get verified as false later, but having that lie still be present in everybody's mind. Romney didn't let him, though. Good for him. Now Obama just has the black mark from trying such a foul tactic again.

Obama looked like he wanted to crawl under the podium on multiple occasions. Not quite as smooth without his teleprompter telling him what to say, is he? That downward grimace was there all night. I actually felt a twinge of sympathy for the guy.

Obama's line about how you can tell a person's priorities by what they have in their budget. I was just hoping Romney would say something like, "If that's true, I guess we can see that your priority is a blank check since you have never passed a budget." And it just slays me when Obama tries to say that Republicans want to return to the policies that got us in this mess and tries to say his policies over the last 4 years have improved things. Sorry, no leg to stand on.

Romney was the clear winner tonight. I know the MSM won't give it to him, but any honest person has to admit it.

President Obama seemed nervous to me. I felt kind of sorry for him and thought it was sweet when the moderator helped him a couple of times by prompting responses. He needs a prompter as we all know, but this time it wasn't a teleprompter. JK (kind of)

Seriously, I thought both men were more gentlemanly than many of the other candidates in the Republican debates.

BTW, fact checkers are saying that Obama was way wrong about Romney's deficit plan. I loved Romney's response about his sons saying something over and over again but that doesn't make it true.

As far as the debate goes, Romney clearly won it if you can say that. I think the President is outclassed when it comes to business and the economy. He also doesn't understand revenues and taxes and most of all deficit spending. It is time for a change, and Romney is the guy.

How can you lie about questions that are NEVER answered. When Ryan was asked about their economic plan on the Fox Network he said it was too 'complex' to talk about. Give me a break. Tell us about the deductions that will be taken away. Home mortgage is at the top of the list and I have news for you. It will apply for everyone. Tell us how private insurance won't try to take advantage of individuals under 55 who end up on a voucher plan when they are eligible for Medicare. Find me someone on medicare right now that would want to be on this wonderful plan. If it is so fantastic, why not put it in place now for everyone. I'll tell you why. Because it would be a train wreck. Look how insurance has come through for individuals after a major disaster. Keep drinking the koolaid.

Bottom line, the media has generally coddled the President. The unintended consequence was without its filter (except for some obvious lame attempts by Lehrer), the President looked bad when attacked repeatedly over his economic and health care policies. Now this election is far from over as the game will only get interesting from here. But there is no one in their right mind that can tell me round 1 didn't go Romney's way. But the real loser was Lehrer, he was pathetic.

Obama defined Romney, and Romney defined himself.
Heard this statement from a gal off the news.

Msn is reporting that Romney smoked Obama. Period.
They said Obama looked very unprepared all around.
