I just so enjoy the articles to these games. The history and legacy of Whit and his genius, bolstering up the fan base, etc.
But the stark reality... USC is going to come thru that freshman loaded O-line... a lot.
But...
yes we can, yes we can...
It's going to be a "fun" week for football.
You've got it right sammyg, this really will be "fun".
Duck and Sam,
How is that bcs quest coming? Oh that's right we ended it for you sorry about that. Meanwhile, we still control our bcs fate and after taking care of business against USC will be favored to play Oregon for the title and rose bowl
Remember how bad USC beat us last yet? At home the muss will more than makeup the field goal differen e from last year
Last year we started 0-4 and ended up a field goal from a bcs conference title game.
Being down one game is nothing!
"One trait of Kyle Whittingham-coached teams has been the ability to bounce back from big losses, such as the one the Utes suffered 10 days ago in a 37-7 setback at Arizona State."
Example:
1-Oct 2011 Washington 14-31
8-Oct 2011 Arizona St 14-35
oh wait, that was a bad example, let's try another one
6-Nov 2010 TCU 7-47
13-Nov 2010 Notre Dame 3-28
hmmm, this doesn't seem to be working
oh well, there must be some silver lining to the Utes being all but eliminated from the PAC south race after only one conference game.
Utes < USC
How's that Rose Bowl thing working out?
btw, playing a regular season game at UCLA, isn't quite the same as playing in the Rose Bowl; you might want to start by finishing higher than 8th in the conference - just saying.
Last year you started with a gift-wrapped PAC south there for the taking, and you couldn't even beat one of the worst teams in the country, at home, to claim your gift.
Being down one game with USC, Oregon St, and UCLA up next is monumental. The Utes will be lucky to even get to a bowl this year.
Utes 3 USC 45
You do realize that RES holds less than half the capacity of Memorial Coliseum? I can only imagine what these guys will think walking out on to the turf. I'm sure they will enjoy the fresh air, the mountains, the Olympic Games nostalgia...
But on game day the Muss will be something along the tune of a one dog barking at the wheels of cars on the LA Freeway during rush hour.
I'm guessing they will be silenced pretty quick.
@sammyg
the same way your y team wet their pants when they heard the muss? hahahaha you y fans should be the last ones talkin about how "quiet" the muss will be after they embarrassed your team.

Sammy and the Duck always have to count on other teams to settle the embarassment that Utah inflicts on BYU annually. If you can't beat Utah yourself, hope someone else can.
Sad really but highly amuzing.

Where was the MUSS against Washington, Arizona State and Colorado last season?
*crickets*
It's quite obvious that despite all of the blather from the hill, EVERY Utah game versus that "irrelevant" team down south is and always will be THE BIGGEST GAME on Utah's schedule.
TWO weeks after getting destroyed by the Sun Devils and with the Trojans coming to town on Thursday, the MUSS is still fixated on the Cougars. Once a little brother, always a little brother.
I wonder if comments will ever exist without byu being mentioned by people? Honestly, we don't care. We're excited to see our team play USC, so let's talk about USC and how we're going to bounce back. Believe it or not, people don't really enjoy downer comments. You've said your piece and your opinion, instead of bogging comments down with that and talk of BYU and taking the focus from our team, let our fans speak and comment on our team (keep your stuff to your pages), thanks! Lets go UTES!!!
Why all the sniping at the U?
I personally love the fact the U has a big time game day atmosphere and a big time opponent coming in this week. I am very excited for the game this week and look forward to many more years of great home schedules.
Go Utes!
Dear Y Fans,
Don't you have your own articles to comment on? In case you forgot, your team has a game this week. I know you probably forgot because you are too focused on wanting to see your big brothers lose, but this article has nothing to do with you.
Not having Joe Kruger will hurt... "questionable" almost always means "no chance."
