I love the Trojans! Go USC!

I hate to say it but if the Utes win 2 more games this year I will be surprised.

I don't often make predictions about games but I can see this game being very ugly for utah. They match up basicly nowhere with the trojans in talent. This won't be a rude awakening like utah "fans" received against asu, I think utah "fans" expect to get worked in this game they just won't publicly admit it, but it will probably be humiliating unless lane kiffin takes some pity on them. I don't see that happening though as kiffin is hardly classy enough to call off the dogs. I'm willing to bet I'll enjoy this game though.

After the beat down in the Valley of the Sun, I don't see the Utes having much of a chance against the Trojans, especially if you consider recruiting rankings, which some of our friends on the hill seem to consider the end-all-be-all of college football success. USC has a Top 10 recruiting class EVERY YEAR. Utah has a Top 25 recruiting class MAYBE once in a decade.

Go USC!

Yeah, it's been like this for a week now. Really quite funny and it's going to be a repeat this Thursday. I cannot fathom what the Ute fanbase is going to be like after these next three games starting with this one.

I love a good drama, mixed with suspense, and then with a big laugh at the end.

Just couldn't resist, could you? While Utah is gearing up to play the pre-season #1 team in the country, BYU is beating up on a pathetic Hawaii team thay couldn't beat half of the high school teams in Utah. So, if that is the basis for your pride, whatever.

Just remember, 24-21.

And 54-10. And 4 of the last 5; 8 out of the last 11; and 56-34-4 overall.

Enough said.

Utes can't match up against anyone good. Utes only beat bad teams except for us then 8 out of 11 years. They got lucky then.

Go Red,

Some folks obsession with the Utes intensifies with each Utah rivalry victory. You think it's bad now wait until 9 of 12.

USC wins big.

From the postings - I think both fan bases are happy. BYU thrives on 10(+) win season regardless of their record against quality opponents.

Utah, on the other hand, could have a horrible record this season. Playing at least 7 teams that last week were in the top 25 or received vots. Nine of our opponents this year are BCS teams. That's as many BCS teams as others play in 2-3 years - not to mention their records against such competition. And as a Utah fan I could not be more happy. Just the thought on USC visiting RES in a conference game is beyond my imagination three years ago! Knowing also that Oregon, Stanford, and all the other PAC-12 teams playing us in conference games HERE is SLC! (Oh, and did I mention Michigan?!)

We easily could lose this game (and lose big)? But I also know that before the PAC-12 invitation we had the best record against BCS teams among all non-BCS teams. No one else can say that.

This is the biggest stage in college football - and we're a player.

Go Utes!

"This is the biggest stage in college football - and we're a player."

Sorry to burst your delusional bubble, but finishing at the bottom of the PAC doesn't make you a player, merely a participant.

BYU thrives on finishing in the Top 25.

Utah thrives on winning an occasional big game, while pretending that their big losses to bad teams never happened.

It is laughable that you put more stock in PLAYING Top 25 teams, than in BEING a Top 25 team.

@ OG,

What do you think Utah's record would have been last year with BYU's schedule? I would say EXACTLY the same (10-3). Except Utah wouldn't lose a game to their rival 54-10, that's just embarrassing. You could say the exact same thing about Utah with BYU's schedule this year. Utah and BYU are similar teams. BYU plays an easier schedule and will for some time to come. Your last 4 games every year will all but ensure that you guys end up near the top 25. Voters love a win streak. I would rather play a solid home schedule every year. Because when we win our last four games of the season, we will be looking at a Rose Bowl birth, and not the armed forces bowl (or whatever game you guys "earn" every year).

Did a byu fan just say live in the past, 1984? ha ha ha that was a good one. 1984 has been brought up so much by byu fans its hilarious, then they say not to live in the past? Oh that's a good one!

One game does not a season make.

BYU's record against Utah's schedule last season would have been EXACTLY the same as it was, 10-3, with a Top 25 finish. However, unlike Utah, BYU wouldn't have lost to Colorado.

The Utah team that lost to Colorado, would have lost to Texas, TCU, CFU, Utah State, and Tulsa. Bottom-line, Utah would have finished with the same 8-5, unranked record.

btw, it's Rose Bowl "BERTH", not "birth", unless you're talking about a maternity ward in Pasadena.

The chances of Utah playing in Rose Bowl sometime in the next 30 years is about the same as Arizona's chances have been the last 30 years.

I think Utah will play a lot better than the beatdown in Tempe. Utah's defense matches up better with SC's offense. Read option killed Utah.

Joe Kruger and Eric Rowe will be back. John White better be 100% or York needs to take all the carries. Hopefully Blechen will be in the right spots at the right time.

It's so exciting to be a Utah fan! 8 more games to look forward to watching. All of them tough, but that's what we want.

TDS fans shouldn't you be worried about the Aggies putting a beat down on you? You should be. Prepare to go 0-4

GO UTES!

"BYU fans shouldn't you be worried about the Aggies putting a beat down on you?" - no

"I think Utah will play a lot better than the beat down in Tempe." - marginally better still means 2-3, with 2-5 very likely

This really sucks for BYU fans. Any way the game goes, the Utes will still try to soften the loss or brag the win. This is what they will say:
If they win, they will of course brag about it.
If they barely lose, they'll say, "We almost won a former national title contender!"
If they are killed, they'll say, "Well, they are USC, and they are a really good team."

Proud Ute
,

Love the jealous little kids from tds throwing rocks at big brother because a team like USC is coming to RES and nobody is paying attention to their little QB soap opera this week.
The smart cougars (I know, I know, contradiction in terms) are focused on Utah State.

BTW....Have to say, that Hill kid can run.
