Jimmer's is a personal choice, not a university that either kowtowed to PAC12 wishes or sat silently and allowed the beliefs of half its student population to be disrespected.
Huge difference.
Anyone with even a hint of respect towards others could work out some arrangement to avoid scheduling these games on Sunday.

Get real.
Is not Jimmer being disrespected by the NBA? Why did he not negotiate his contract to exclude Sunday games?
Jimmer signed an NBA contract which requires him to play on Sunday if the Kings play. Do you think he could negotiate not playing on Sunday? Nope. It's not a 1/2 choice.
Please BYU fans. Stop twisting this issue. Jimmer is in the same boat as Utah.

".....But you are definately correct, they have no choice, they have no power or pull, they have nothing. They simply must do as ordered. I just find it interesting that the conference would insist on this when they know it will hurt attendence at utah home games. It is almost as if they are flipping off the Mormon utah fans. They could easily make it so that any Sunday games utah plays are road games and home games are not on Sundays other than under extreme circumstances.
I just find it very peculiar that the pac12 would insist on forcing this onto utah when it is obviously detrimental to them. It simply confirms to me that utah was just brought in as filler and not considered an equal at all."
They simply must do as ordered?
Ask all current & former members of the WAC & MWC what it was like to deal with BYU.

What does that even mean?
I guess my fear would be that this would make recruiting a bit harder in state...barely a downer for certain recruits.
"We are a laughing stock of the nation with our parochial attitudes and values." Since when have Utahns cared about what the nation as a whole thought of them? The state was founded by people who went West because their neighbors were killing them over their religion, and yet, that religion lives on...
It is amazing to me, no matter which side of the fence your on, how ignorant and biased you can be. The comments are truly enteraining. If someone outside Utah read them, we would truly be the laughing stock
