In our justice system, "insiders" (judges, police, etc.) have a big edge.

Nothing in this story gives me the impression that he is LDS, and that if he is that he has either the temperament or inclination to serve a mission. Either which way it doesn't have anything to do with this story.
I trust the DN will not allow this forum to turn into a religion discussion, a major reason that I have chosen to avoid the other local news source.
