Comments about ‘Romney assails Obama after US ambassador's death’

Conflicting stories on the same day. This story says millions of families pay higher tax rates than Romney's 14%, but another story today in this paper says the average taxpayer pays 10%. Those figures conflict. Fact check anyone?

Some of the armed groups in Libya have been attacked by hundreds of angry citizens in Libya. They view the United States as their friend and deplore the attack that killed 4 Americans.

Where is the Deseret News coverage of Romney's complete tax returns that go back 20 years? Is the news media afraid to publish these items? Romney has paid more taxes and contributed more to charity than any of the Democrats. Why is the press not putting pressure on Harry Reid to apologize to Mitt Romney? Why does the Deseret News keep publishing liberal viewpoints? We as readers deserve to have honest reporting instead of biased reporting.

I know I paid and over 28% and most of my middle class friends paid similar rates. what percentage or raw number the middle class represents I am not sure but every middle class person I know pays at least twice the rate of romney and we are tired of doing the heavy lifting for everyone else.

Obama spent four times more money for a Hawaiian vacation than Romney made in a year.

What percentage of this money did Obama pay income tax on? What is he hiding? Shows that he doesn't connect with the American people.

Romney refusing to bow to the "when did you stop beating your wife" allegations of Harry Reid does not make him a victim of himself - it merely makes Harry Reid a great example of pathetic passive/aggression.

@ Kalinda: If you will take the time to go to the Romney website and look in the section called Blogs you will find information on Romney's taxes that go back 20 years. You need to be willing to look for the information and not just accept what the liberal media say or the unwarranted claims by Senator Reid. Perhaps you should also read the articles and information on townhall.com to get a look at what the liberal press won't publish. The article by Morgan Brittany titled "Half of America has Stockholm Syndrome" is a good place to start. We are choosing a Chief Executive Officer for our country. It is not a popularity contest! It is who is best equipped and qualified to lead the country, not who is the nicest person. Have you noticed that the current president spends a lot of time on talk shows? He refused to meet with other nations leaders this week because he said his schedule was so busy. It was busy going to a talk show instead of doing the job we hired him to do. He should be fired!

if you paid an effective 28% on your AGI, then you did not claim exemptions or deductions. No one carries the blame for that but you.
