Great win Aggies! Still a let down in the 2nd half... smell the blood in the water and go in for the kill!

With Chuckie throwing three interceptions this game and Kennedy out for the rest of the season, I am a little concerned.

Really? Chuckie had couple of interceptions. Big deal. It was a bit sloppy in the second half, but the game was never really in doubt. Utah State is looking awesome! First 3-1 start since 1978. They have the chance for a one or two loss season.

With Boise State down this year, it's too bad the FG sailed right @ Wisconsin. I don't think Utah State loses another game. The one loss will keep USU from a BCS game. I know that sounds crazy, but with their schedule, USU would have gone to a BCS game if undefeated (wins against Utah, BYU, Wisconsin, and Boise State would have been enough). I am a Ute fan, but I feel bad for USU after the Wisconsin loss.

Oops I forgot, the Aggies don't play in the same conference as Boise State anymore. Wow, I looked at it, and the schedule is weak for USU. If they beat BYU, they will go 11-1.

Congratulations to Williams. What a game for him and the O-line averaging 10 yards a carry.

Of the two interceptions that Chuckie threw only one was a bad throw and the other the defensive coverage was good. Chuckie is smart and will only continue to improve in his decision making. You can see it already, instead of running head long through the defense like he used to last year, he's running for the first down markers and hook sliding to preserve himself. He knows Kennedy is out and he's got to stay healthy to keep this ride on the track.
Good luck Aggies against UNLV.

Great win Aggies. I agree, USU should win from here out. The Y and Louisianna Tech will be challenging away games but the Aggies are up to the task. The key is to keep Chuckie healthy. The Aggie D is the real deal.

USU is good this year, but I don't buy the weak schedule. The WAC is looking pretty tough in their final year, with Lousiana Tech playing well, as expected; San Jose State fielding their best team in years; newcomers UTSA and Texas State starting strong. BCS bowl talk makes me laugh; the Aggies could go 10-2 and stay home for bowl season if they don't win the WAC.

Go Aggies! Hopefully by mid-October the DN will actually cover the best football team in the state and not just run an AP story.

The best team in the state is that school to the north of BYU and Utah.

The Aggies are one AWESOME TEAM this year. There is no doubt they should be ranked.

As far as all of the comments about the last quarter, USU didn't put in all their starters. Moreover, the game was not even close the entire night. USU DOMINATED the MWC Rams all night long.

The Aggies are surely headed to the WAC title this year. Next year should also be a great year for them as one of the top (if not THE top) team in the MWC.

ON that note, Keeton is still looking solid. Kennedy is out, but the Aggies also have a great third string QB. (A lot of depth at the QB position this year.)

My prediction is that the Aggies all but shut out the Running Rebels up at Logan next week. I predict the Aggies to win by a minimum 10 point spread in Provo the week after. Their only other real competition will be LATECH at LATECH later in the season, but I think the Aggies will take that one as well.

This is the best team in the state hands down right now. Way to go Aggies! Way to represent our great state!

SJSU after an emotional game at BYU worries me. They have always played us close, and are putting together a very solid season. BYU will be a tough game, but I think we come out on top if we pounce early--which we have been good at this season. After that, if we beat SJSU, it is smooth sailing until LaTech, but given LaTech's lack of a defense and our so far very stingy D, I think we win that one. I'm thinking worst case scenario is 9-3, but 11-1 is not out of the range of possibility. Most likely I'm thinking 10-2. When was the last time you could say that about U-State football?

@RR_Xing

Yes, thank you for your well thought out points. I am glad USU has a good team and is excited, but don't get ahead of yourselves. I think they lose at BYU because they always find a way to lose there. I think UNLV isn't an automatic "W". They beat Air Force last night, and they almost won every game they played, even though all were at home.

San Jose State looks good, and LA Tech is still the odds on favorite champion. I think the WAC is just as good as the MWC this year since TCU left. I think LA Tech, USU, and SJSU are just as good if not better than Nevada, Fresno State, and Boise State. Worry about UNLV before you go 11-1.

I read some of the comments from USU players basically saying they are going to go 11-1. That just made things a lot tougher and provided bulletin board material.

Oh by the way, BYU was supposed to play LA Tech on the road this year, but got scared and took it off the schedule. Should let Aggie fans know BYU thought it was a loss for them.

OK USU fans, BYU just scheduled a home-and-home with Middle Tennessee State of the Sun Belt (whose stadium capacity is listed at 31,000). If Aggie fans have an ounce of self-respect, get your AD to only schedule BYU home-and-home from now on or to drop them from the schedule.

USU is in the driver's seat as BYU needs the games, and at worst, you don't have to play BYU on conference Friday, you could schedule another big conference game to try and pull an upset or play another home game.

All this talk about going 11-1 or 10-2 sounds like what the team down south keeps saying each year. The talk should be about that we will win the next game and stop predicting down the road. I havent seen the trick plays that Baldwin ran on occassions last year. Aggies should experiment with the 2 quaterback system. It would give the other teams defense something to think about and give the back up qb some experience on the field. (Just a thought)
Win next week at homecoming and everyone wear white in the State for the #1 team in the State.
GO TRUE BLUE - AGGIES!

@Wildcat,

The aggies have no self respect. Everyone knows that. They aren't like the other schools in the state.

Sambonethegreat

USU has got a good thing going. As long as they don't blow the UNLV game (highly unlikely), the Aggies should get at least 9 wins this year. Too bad I can't say the same for Utah and SUU and perhaps even the Y. Seriously, Nelson has issues against the tougher defenses.

Go Aggies. The best team in the state is a well-deserved title.

Stang08
Cedar City, Utah

Sambone,

They aren't the best team in the state until they play and possibly beat BYU. Only then can you call yourself the best this year. But keep overlooking everyone. That's how you lost to Wisc. If you hadn't been that mindset you might be undefeated.
