Given that government services are being reduced in many areas around the nation, people for their own sake need to be aware and learn to be more self reliant.

In part this means it is responsible to not depend 100% on police to protect you or your family. A sheriff in Minnesota is recommending people get gun safety training and then buy a gun due to the decreases in police services.

He said people can no longer count on police to be there in a timely manner in the event a criminal is invading your house.
