As the sun sets in Tempe tomorrow, the big game will get underway. When the final seconds tick off the clock the Utes will rise as victors and will stick a fork in ASU! Done baby! Go UTES!

ASU will beat the Utes. Expect 4 losses this year. At least.

Amazing to see so many Utes over on the BYU boards. Not many supporting your team here. Shows you are more interested in BYU than your own team. It's been that way for decades.

@eastcoastcoug,

Right because the ONLY way to show support for your team is posting on the DNews comment boards . . . That being said, GO UTES!!!!

This will be an eye opener for utah "fans". whittingham, on the otherhand, knows what's coming.

ASU by 17.

As long as Oregon, Stanford and USC are in the PAC, the best the Utes will ever do is 4th or 5th.

But at least Utah is not currently as bad as BYU. Did you see that game in Boise? Stinkarooney!!!

I expect both teams to end the year 6-6.

"As long as Oregon, Stanford and USC are in the PAC, the best the Utes will ever do is 4th or 5th".

I have to disagree, you do realize that Stanfor has only been good the last 3 seasons in there entire history. Do you really think they can keep that up? I highly doubt it. And as far a USC and Oregon go, I agree it will be tough for Utah to compete with them year in and year out. They have a long ways to go, but I honestly think in 04 and 08 Utah could have won the PAC 12, so to say its the best they will ever do is a little exaggerated.

@eaastcoastcoug: Other than rooting for your team, there is nothing to comment on before the game. The BYU game, unfortunately for the Cougs, has a lot to comment about right now. The U boards will be full after tonight's game.

Utes will win. We have Blechen back! Utes 23-13. GO UTES!

The last time the Utes were in Tempe, we busted the BCS and blew it apart.

I'm stoked for tonight's game. I hope Juan Blanco and Rowe are back. Can't wait to see Blechen get a few licks to make up for lost time. I hope the O-line continues to make some progress. Jeremiah Poutasi is going to be a beast! What's that ol' saying about payback?

Go Utes!!!

@ niners. Same can be said about the Utes.....

@Duckhunter

Why are you still on here knocking the Utes? No matter how well they do, you find a new reason or prediction to downplay it. You should have absolutely nothing to say after the last two weeks.

"I have to disagree, you do realize that Stanfor has only been good the last 3 seasons in there entire history. Do you really think they can keep that up?"

And utah has only been good for the last 8 years of their entire history. What makes you think they can sustain it and Stanford, with so many obvious advantages over utah that they aren't even worth stating, can't?

I personally do not believe utah will ever be more than middle of the pac with very rare exceptions. That is actually the reality for almost all of the teams in the pac12 other than usc or oregon. It is a conference of a big 2, maybe 3, and a bunch of pretty average football programs.

Now I know utah "fans" will take offense and get indignant over that but honestly what would make them think they are going to ever be better than programs is far more desirable locations and climates, with far larger recruiting bases, far more money, far more fan support, far more state subisidies, far more prestige, far more history, far more accomplishment, far bigger name brands, far more everything?

utah "fan" delusion.

Has utah "done" anything?

@duckie

What makes me think Utah will ever be better than a program with a far larger recruiting base, far more money, and (according to you) far more fan support, far more prestige, far more history, and far more accomplishment?

My answer is found in 8 of the last 11 times Utah and BYU played. No one is claiming Utah is anything close to USC in football but doesn't mean we won't ever be better. We haven't had an issue dominating the Y for the past decade.
