We need term limits so these guys can work rather campaign.
President--three year term
All else---two year term.
This is a service, and not a career.
The longer a politician is in, the more likely for corruption to occur.
We need to be reminded to vote in the mid-term elections. As a nation, we'd be more likely to bring in people that will be moderate enough to work together. When the extremists have too much power over us, because we're too busy to vote, we pay a terrible price, and the suffering of our people increases.
Harry Reid Adjourns the Senate with the support of the majority. Now Harry doesn't have to worry about passing a budget for over 1300 days now. He should not be paid for the past 1300 days of INCOMPETENCE!
The shorter a politician is in, the more likely he will be closely tied to his future employers in the private sector. The Founding Fathers could have put term limits into the Constitution, but didn't. You'd think that today, the electorate would be better able to tell the statesmen from the merely old men (or women).
