Back on course? Not so sure. But better than it was after week 2. Offensive line couldn't get the running game going against a decent linebacking corps but less than than impressive defensive front of BYU. But pass protection was decent. QB play was just what they needed if relying on the running game, but not what is needed with no John White or effective blocking.

Defensively looking good enough, but room for improvement. Nate Fakahafua, Joe Kruger and Star are beasting it. Linebackers are getting more comfortable, but still the weak spot, especially in pass coverage, but having Boo Andersen back helps. DBs I look for to hit the ground running this week. I think their jitters are out now with Lacy finally making the first interception for the unit off an easy pass from Nelson, and their leader in Blechen is back this week, while we hopefully get Rowe back, too.

Find a way to get rushing yards or start stretching the field A LOT more.

The offense still scored just 20 points and was bailed out by the defense.

There was no running game so if White is on and off I don't see how we get better against tougher competition.

I think the real test is this week @ASU.

Utes always get up for the cougars. The sun devils will be a better marker than the rivalry game.

Some good points but the team is not back on track yet.

I am looking forward to this game though because it will be a test and I think there are some feelings left from last year that need to be ironed out. I was at the ASU game and they came in here with a chip on their shoulder and the Utes did not respond at all.I look for that to change this year.

Here's to getting the win on the road in Tempe to start the PAC 12 season out right.

Go Utes!
