Jerry, you always say the nicest things in such a great way. This one is no different.
I brought two dear friends, and although I would have wished for a slower, more personal tour, I don't know who I would have excluded. It is a lovely building.
This whole thing was mared by the zealots who prohibited free speach of the Christian group.
Oh, Mightymite. You still didn't read or really understand what happened here, did you? So sorry for you.
I attended the open house on Labor Day. It was VERY hot and the line wrapped all the way around the temple. 2 different times while we were standing in line, 2 different husband/wife teams came by with bottled water and offered it to everyone in line. I asked if they were volunteers for the open house and they said "No. We just drove by and saw all you people standing out in the hot sun so we went and got some water." I was so touched. Goodness truly did abound at the open house for us. Thank you to the "water samaritans" for your true discipleship.
My little 4 yr. old granddaughter, on the way to the Open House, asked if she'd see her great grandma there, who's funeral was the previous Saturday. She had been raised in Honeyville, so I think she may have a chance to at least be there sometime. On my way to Logan last Friday, I was touched at the beauty of the temple and the tabernacle as they face each other even from the highway. Such a beautiful addition to the community.
