Sounds fine to me

This splash of candor will likely help Romney because polls clearly indicate that the majority of Americans, including no bitter clingers, think that the government does TOO MUCH.

While the left hysterically screams that Romney wants to throw grandma to the curb; rational people can see that the comments highlight the fact that Romney is looking for less government; while Obama want more government, more redistribution of wealth and remains obsessed with creating a nation of incompetent "Julia" zombies who cannot even wipe their own nose without government assistance

Well,
Opening up shed new light on it.
That wasn't so bad.

Now...If only the same could be said about that nagging problem with his OWN taxes.

LDS Liberal,

Nagging problem? Did Obama pay taxes on the hundreds of millions he stole from us for vacations? Thou shalt not steal.

What authority did he or any other president have to spend our tax money? And he bears false witness on Romney.

With your LDS tag, you should see it for what it is.

Federal taxes are the lowest they have been in 60 years, but to listen to Romney the government is going deeper and deeper into our pockets. I pay taxes at a far higher rate then what Romney has chosen to let us know about. I look for nothing for myself from the government. His remarks are insulting. In Romney's mind he and his fellow very rich friends are the "victims". It is sad that those who have so much, and are asked to give so little, are the one's to complain the most. I see it as my patriotic duty to pay my taxes.

@CI

"rational people" no the truth is that less then 9% of the population relies on partial government subsidies and less then 4% rely on it as their sole source of income. the rest of the people which does not only include the poor but also some middle class and yes even upper class citizens work hard and pay their own bills, the only thing the rest of that 47% get a break from is income taxes.

Do you run against intelligence?. Is that what your name means?

Just curious, after reading your post I always get that nagging doubt.

I am a leftist, liberal democrat. I believe that government, a representative government, should exist to pass laws to manage limited resources for the benefit of the nation.

I have never depended on welfare or received any help from the government. On the contrary, I don't mind paying my fare share of taxes. At this moment I pay between 25% and 30% of my income in taxes. I am not a victim, I am an active citizen who believes we are a community. One who believes that must contribute as much as possible in order to secure our well being as a nation.

Many of the 47% that Romney talks about are the elderly (many of them Republican voters)others are the young who are starting to work. Yes, other are the working poor who don't make enough.

Some day perhaps, I will be one of the elderly that will join the 47% that Romney so blatantly condemn. In the meanwhile I contribute. Do you?
