Senior linebackers are 2 big reasons Juan Diego is undefeated, ranked No. 2
Great article and Juan Diego is a very good team!
mykaljordan - you took the words right out of my mouth. Nice job!
@MRFOOTBALL,you meant to say JD substituted in their sophomores and
Juniors in the 3rd and 4th quarter, and they still scored on Grangers starting
Defense.JD FAN..by they way MRFOOTBALL, I havent seen
you at any tailgates yet ths year..Same place as always, ever home game..
Its easy to get 144yds,when you dont pass the ball.Doesn't matter how many
yards Grangers RB had, he could of had 400 yards, but all those yards mean
nothing if he is held out of the ENDZONE,granted it will look good on individual
stats. The only TD he had was a 2yd run, after JD mishandled a punt on Grangers
6yd line. JD's stud LB's did what needed to be done to win ,and that
was to keep Grangers RB from scoring, and win the game..Not only did they
win,but the Crushed them. good job Dakota and kalei, keep our JD Eagles
Focus....AC2JD FAN. 212
The game was a blowout at 49-7, and the runningback for Granger stayed in the
game while getting hurt with three mins left. The running back was held fdown
for three quarters, and then JD started to sub playeser in. Granger should have
substituted players in instead of running up the yards for the tailback. The
tailback from Granger is a very good tailback for 5A. I predict that if he gets
to play this friday, he will once again have over 200 yards, and Granger will
have a win.
@amanap Duckhunter If you take it for face value, the runner from
Granger had pretty good stats for YPC, and total yards, but look a little deeper
in to the story to get the whole story. Granger football was averaging over 44
pts per game over the previous 4 games, this game only 7 pts, and off a turnover
on a very short field (6 yds) to their only pts of the game. Holding this
running back, who at the time was leading the state with rushing of nealry 1100
yds, JD defense and these two young men did hold them in check. JD is known for
its defense and holding very good runners to very low yrds pergame. These two
along with the rest of their team did hold this Granger offense, and Granger
could not stop JD's offense... They did their job, and your critisism of
not stopping Granger is unwarrented
@amanap144 yds at over 6 ypc is fantastic. I suppose they are
tryingto compare it to his previous games where he averaged over 200 ypg and
over 13 ypc. So in that light I guess they did "hold him" to those
totals. That said no one is going to keep up the averages that kid was having
and 144 yds and 6 ypc is still pretty much running all over them.
I know these linebackers are studs but isn't 144 yards for a running back
really good in one game? Over 6 yards per carry?
