@stiffarmpoet

That was not good.

Wasatch beat both Morgan and Juab

To Boys of Fall: I think South Sevier and Richfield have the best shot at 2nd. Parowan is more like a JV team.

I stand corrected on Delta. My point was that there are several teams who could boast 5-0 If they had the schedule Stansbury has. There is no reason for Stansbury to avoid teams like Taylorsville, Cyprus, Mt. View, Provo, Westlake, etc.

Pine View beats Wasatch by 28 points with or without their QB! Just like Stansbury you play no one. Can't wait until 1st round of playoffs!

To Bear: Ask any coach and he or she will tell you that it is extremely difficulty to beat a team twice in one season. With that in mind, why wouldn't the rams have a good shot to play with and beat the broncos the next time around. There is not much that separates that top 5 in 2A with #6-#10 in the state.When you have a stout defense led by Patani and Bater, the team will always have a chance.

Wolfpack- your last post was very confusing. You say PV beats Wasatch by 28 with or without their QB. Who's QB? PV or Wasatch? And who are you talking about when you say "like Stansbury, you play no one"? Wasatch or whatever team 801 likes? If you meant Wasatch plays no one, sure, Ben Lomand is weak, but Grantsville and North Sanpete are normally decent teams. And Wasatch BEAT two of your top 10 teams(Morgan and Juab), so either your math is fuzzy or you just don't like Wasatch.That's like saying, BYU WAS ranked 25th, lost to the U, but I like them better, so I'm leaving them ranked. Just like college, you can't always tell how good your schedule will be a year in advance, and some of these games are just old handshake deals anyway. Maybe you could come up with a formula to have everyone have a "balanced" schedule. But as it's already been mentioned, these rankings mean little, it's the wins in November that count, so maybe the emphasis on "who" each team plays shouldn't really matter that much. Just sayin'...

@OneManWolfPack

you mistake me for a wasatch fan or alumni, i am neither. you claim wasatch has played no one, yet they have beaten 2 teams in your very own top 10!! how does that work?? also, you have pine view ranked who's 2 wins are against opponents with a combined record of 3-6. if anything, pine views played no one!! plus, pine view is looking at at LEAST 2 more region losses. thats best case scenario for them, so i wouldn't be too excited for the playoffs. i understand being a homer for your team, but sometimes you got to be realistic about it!!! and reality is that pine view just isn't very good. their best years were spent in 4A

Oh NO, not JD Brooks again....

South Sevier's wins have come agaisn't teams that are a combined 11 and 4. The ll are loses! South Seveir will win one of there final 4 region games and end with a region record of 2 and 5. That will place them 6th in region. They will play at Emery or South Summit on the 19th of October, get blown out by 35+ and there season will be done. They then can prepare to hoist a Trophy on the 23rd of Feburary in Basketball.

I can't wait for Cedar to win dixie and those other teams in St. George. I think I'll leave my sheep for a night and watch the games up here in Cedar. I'll be tail gating in my chevy dually if any of ya want to join me. I got mutton.

1manwolf- dude, something is messed up with your logic. Rarely, if ever, do you see a team that beats 2 members of a "top ten" (yours) get dissed by the list maker as not playing anyone good. So are you saying that Juab and Morgan are "no ones"? Because you must live with one or the other, you can't have it both ways. As for saying PV would beat Wasatch by 28, well, since we won't play this year, I'll say that Wasatch would beat PV by 35! There, I called your bluff, do you want to re-raise? How bout we quit worrying about who certain teams have and haven't played and worry more about the next game on the schedule, this isn't college, the polls just don't matter here.

JD,

Yes, beating a good team twice in a season is tough to do. For SJ to beat South Sevier twice would not be too difficult. I don't think I would call a defense stout that gives up 57 points in one game. 57 points is the total for the entire season for a stout defense. 2A is shaping up to be a good race this year with 5 teams capable of hoisting the gold trophy (South Sevier is not one of the 5).

The bliss of playoff runs have begun,
but no ones song has yet been sung.
In one thing said there is no shame.
Only one will win the final game.

not only did So. sevier give up 57 points. beaver had there varsity out when the fourth quarter started. it could of been worse, thats whats scary. plus it was the rams homecoming. pretty sad performance

I just don't see how "hoisting" the gold trophy is out the question. This is a proud and talent laden senior class. That counts for a lot.

Skyline was beaten by both 3A top dogs Hurricane and Juan Diego.

Herriman still seems to have an Achilles heel

Sampson

As predicted...Stansbury struggled with Morgan...eeked out a win in OT. D-Hills lost a narrow game to Dixie. Thunder will pound on the ponies next week!

@ JD
My prediction of South Sevier winning one of its final 4 games is coming true, they achieved one of my three predicted loses on Friday. They will get there 2nd this coming Friday at Grand. By the way, there one win will be Parawon in two weeks, then they will lose to Richfield. Then they will travel to Millard end the Season to prepare for raising the Trophy in Basketball.
