What a work of fiction, based on faulty premises.
In whose dreams?? The republicans during Obama' presidency have had ONE goal - To ensure that Obama, the first black president was a one term president. They have not cooperated with the president on anything. In fact they have taken the country to the brink of a financial meltdown. They have been the party of NO! They only wish Clinton had not even spoken at the Democratic convention because he spelled out in plain English the faults of the republicans beehavior for the last 11 years.
Yeah, and clint eastwood endorsed the President. Or did he? Maybe he just rambled on incoherently.
I swear, conservatives live in a bizarro fantasy world. It is shocking what a loose grasp of reality they have.
Of course like Rick Santorum said: We will never have the elite,. smart people on our side.
That's for sure.
Tell you what...
Ask President Clinton if he actually was endorsing Romney. Ask him if the policies of today's GOP really fits his vision of a nation that takes care of its sick children and its elderly.
Let me know what he says.
I swear, today's conservatives' capacity for self-delusion is astonishing.
Its hard to believe someone with so much education could've written this editorial.
Senate Minority leader McConnell set the stage, stating his goal was to make sure Obama was a one-term president.
What kind of reception did Romney get from Democrats in MA? "it takes two to tango."
Despite McConnell's prolamation, Obama compromised on several key pieces of legislation. Romneycare was the blueprint for healthcare reform and the Stimulus included many tax cuts favored by Republicans. How many Republican votes did these efforts produce? Additionally, all the Bush tax cuts were extended as demanded by Republicans. Where have Republicans extended a hand to Obama? There is only one group with lower approval ratings than Congress and that would be Republicans in Congress.
Romney has yet to explain how he will cut taxes without increasing the deficit. If he is going to close loopholes, Ameicans have the right to know what loopholes he is talking about. Will he do away with the mortgage interest deduction? Tax health benefits? What about charitble contributions? Carried interest?
Best opinion piece I have read in a long time. I completely agree. Clinton and Obama are on the opposite sides of the spectrum in the Dem party. I voted for Clinton. I didn't vote for Obama.
Smith has GOT to be joking. This is the funniest thing I've read in quite a while.
