I read this article in the News on Friday and decided to go to the Mine on Saturday. I am a fan of suspense, the less-supernatural and gory variety, and Mr. Benson had me thinking the movie would be very benign. It was not. There is profanity, just not religious type. And there is gore--one especially odd and gross scene. I was unpleasantly surprised. The Mine provides a couple fun and suspenseful moments, but I would not recommend this movie, especially for family viewing.
