Wow. Can't say that she will have my attention any more than her husband and his failed policies will have my vote.

Isn't it sad that Democracy for the Republican party has turned to this:

Hoping voter turnout is small.
Hoping a handful of billionaires fund their campaign.
Hoping that their candidate for President can avoid giving any real details about his "plans" because they are just that poorly respected.
Hoping their candidate for Vice President can get through a day without flat out lying to the face of American voters.

Those who believe this is the party of the middle class are sorely mistaken.

America is better off then 4 yrs ago? Hmmm All I remember that for two years the people on Social Security and the civil service retirees didn't get a cost of living increase even though the prices of things were going up and up. The health insurance rates and Medicare rates were raised with nothing to offset the hike. This resulted in the Social Security and civil service retirees in getting a pay cut. This started many retirees on a downward spiral and many could not even afford to buy food. Many are going without the medications they need because they can’t afford them. Finally, they got a 3.5 percent cost of living increase, but that doesn't even equal to 1.17 percent per year. To add insult to injury, the prices of Medicare and other health insurance skyrocketed so that 1.17 percent doesn't equal to anything. Some retirees actually got another pay cut. No, I don't think any of the seniors are better off; in fact many are much worse off than they were four years ago.

Michelle is a class act all round, and the obama family is right on the mark when it comes to exemplifying family values.

Inflation averaged 1.8% a year under Obama. It's really not much of a difference, plus, are you a conservative? Because I thought conservatives wanted us to get spending/entitlements under control, so what the heck do you all think you all will do to social security if you aren't willing to raise taxes?

Four years ago, I had a nest egg, and my business was stable if not really going gung-ho. Now, My house is in jeopardy, I'm living from hand to mouth, and wondering where the next bite may come from. furthermore, I have been hit with the biggest tax increase that I have ever seen (The Affordable Health Care Bill) NO I am not abetter off than I was 4 years ago!

And the calculations used to justify any increases.... Bush era policies - not Obama. But we will ignore that, now won't we.

All I can say is the months leading into the transition from Bush to Obama - over 800,000 jobs a month lost. Let me put that another way. Eight Hundred Thousand a Month.

Stock market - down 40%. Home prices falling. Banks needed rescue. American manufacturing in collapse.

MD - not surprised. Why listen to what the other side has to say, directly from them. That would be.... logical, and we know logic has nothing to do with this election. It is pure emotion... and we got lots of that flowing.

All I know is that in the past four years my pay check hasn't doubled, but the gas prices sure have!

Tips for Michelle for her big speech....

1. Don't mention anything about unemployment (23 straight months over 8%)
2. Don't mention anything about the 6 trillion your husband added to the national debt
3. Don't mention anything about the credit downgrade
4. Don't mention anything about more folks on food stamps than ever before
5. Don't mention anything about where the stimulus was spent
6. Don't mention anything about the 700 billion being taken from Medicare to pay for Obamacare.
7. Don't mention anything about all the GOP governors who spoke at the RNC and how they turned their economies around in their states and DIDN'T raise taxes.
8. Don't mention anything about the fact that Gitmo is still open
9. Don't mention anything about the fact that Navy Seals are hopping mad at your husband for trying to take too much credit for the killing of Bin-Laden.
10. Don't mention anything about the Fast n Furious Scandal that your husband is hiding from.

Yes sir - just stay away from these top ten and you will be ok Michelle. Stick with ... oh ... war on women !!

" I have been hit with the biggest tax increase that I have ever seen"

Uh, no provisions have kicked in requiring anything of you yet.
Starting in 2014:

Individuals whose employers don’t offer insurance can buy insurance directly in an exchange.

Americans who earn less than 133 percent of the poverty level can enroll in Medicaid.

Tax credits to make it easier for the middle class to afford insurance become available for people with incomes above 100 percent and below 400 percent of the poverty level who aren’t eligible for or offered other affordable coverage.

New plans and existing group plans may no longer impose annual limits on coverage (including hospital stays and other essential benefits).

Insurance companies can no longer refuse to sell coverage or renew policies because of pre-existing conditions; they can also no longer charge higher rates because of health status or gender.

Do you employ more than 50 (full-time equivalent) people?

I think you may have jumped the gun on your partisan spin. It has not gone into affect yet.

Michelle is a class act, as is Ann Romney. Last week the Republicans put on a vaudeville show. This weeks the Democrats should talk about where we're going vs. where the Republicans led this country. This is one American who is grateful Obama served this country the last 4 years to help stave off a world depression, saved thousands of manufacturing jobs, hunted down and kill numerous Al Quida terriosits. Additionally, he acknowledges science and the importance of an educated society to help us tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Mitt Romney was a terrible Govenor leaving office after only 1 term and a 35% approval rating. Massachuetts residents discovered what a lot of Americans don't yet know. He wants power but has not the intelligence, strength or the public track record to use it wisely.

re:FT

Hmm - this is the same Michelle Obama that said "this was the FIRST time I had ever been proud of my country"? That Michelle?? As for the rest of your zombie like worship of the Obama's all I can say is - nearly 60% in every poll taken say we are worse off today than 4 years ago and the country is headed in the wrong direction. You are welcome to your opinion but PLEASE try to at least use a few facts to back up your claims? For example - unemployment over 8 percent for 23 straight months. 6 trillion added to our national debt and our FIRST credit down grade in history. More people on food stamps that ever before and black unemployment the highest since Jimmy Carter at nearly 15%. Add to those facts that the CBO projects 9.5% unemployment at the end of 2013 unless we CHANGE COURSE. No personal offense FT but your claims don't hold water .... or credibility. Obama has been a TRAIN WRECK as a president and that is why the man will not run on his record.

SS: Gas prices TRIPLED during the George W. Bush presidency...Why complain about only doubling under Barack Obama? The Janesville Wisconsin GM plant closed in December 2008 BEFORE Barack Obama became president.
I was impressed with the Republican National Convention and plan to watch the Democratic National Convention with the same open mind...and will identify the "untruths" (lies?) spoken by the Democrats just as quickly as those by Mitt, Paul Ryan, and some of the others.

Don't you all forget this,Obama said before he won in '08 he said if he can't turn around the economy he'd be a one termer! Well just why would anybody in their right mind give this incompetent fool the time of day when he has increased the debt by 5.6 trillion in less than 4 years, reckless and countless bailouts and all these bureaucrats that were not voted for namely the czars. Now just why should we get wxcited over Obama and give him another 4 years in which to destroy this country?

Patriot.... it would be nice if you inserted a little honesty with your emotionalism. Michelle Obama never said it was the "first" time. He actual quote is:

“For the First Time in My Adult Lifetime, I’m Really Proud of My Country”

Why the lies? Next one... the black unemployment rate is the highest since jimmy Carter - over 15 percent. Absolutely false again. It is currently 14.4%, below what it was in January of 2009 when it was 17%. Easy to find data from the BLS. It is all out there and all very public.

And then your quote about 9+ Percent unemployment.... what the report said was this...

"Alarming news came from the Congressional Budget Office today: the economy is on track to grow by only 1.1 percent next year, with unemployment climbing to 9.2 percent.

...That is, if Congress does nothing." USA News and World Report, January 31, 2012

You also neglect to mention that the Republicans took unemployment for 4.4% when they took office to 7.6% when they left. At 42% increase in unemployment. It is now at 8.3% - a whopping 8% increase.

Facts - not partisan hate rhetoric.
