Mrs. Obama too has been watching to much MSNBC. Really, this is what you have to talk about. You have to reiterate what has been the only attention anyone can give to anything. Mitt's upbringing, and so because of his upbringing he cannot relate supposedly. The guy was given nothing and made himself who he is on his own merits. This is why you will lose this election, because the dems have nothing to stand on. No record of positive movement forward over the past four years and nothing to really get Mitt on. You should be trying to find a way to defend what your husband has done over the past four years, but I do understand it is difficult to defend nothing.

" The guy was given nothing and made himself who he is on his own merits."

The "guy" was given an education at a private prep school, along with other children from wealthy families.
The guy was "given" a mother who didn't have to work.
The guy was "given" a prominent and successful father who became CEO of a car company and gov. of a state.
The guy was given shares of stock for his birthday which he used to support himself through school.
The guy was given money to buy a house, while still a college student.

The "guy" had tremendous advantages which he did not squander.
The "guy" is again promoting policies to disproportionately benefit the wealthy.

You were joking -- right? I hope so, because there was nothing accurate in what you said.

The President, not Mitt, is the "guy was given nothing and made himself who he is on his own merits." Mitt and Ann both grew up in affluence, and were supported by their family at all times (until, of course, Mitt started raking in obscene amounts of money from Bain and didn't need the family support any longer). The President and First Lady were born in "normal" (not affluent) families and went to school on student loans, and timely paid them back. They pulled themselves up by their bootstraps until they EARNED the finacial security they now enjoy. THEY, unlike Mitt, can relate to what "common" people and they don't appear to feel that the world owes them anythng (unlike Mitt).

If you prefer Mitt's policies to the President's, that's your right. Just, please, ground your comments in FACTS and not the fiction shown in the referenced message.

So the choice is between the guy who had a Communist father and a socialist mother, and who smoked lots and lots of pot instead of attending classes, and who increased our national debt to $16 Trillion; bows to foreign leaders and plays lots of golf; Or the guy who never smoked pot in his life, is a successful businessman and state governor, and who brought the 2002 SLC Olympics back to life, who is pro-life and actually had real jobs all his life. Hmmm.

Fact is Mr. Obama was given and received a great amount of help from the taxpayers of this country to get his education, to support his 'community organizing", and a sweet heart deal by a political crony to purchase his home. The difference between the Republican candidate and the Democratic incumbent is stark. The Republican is a man who has made a success in every aspect of his life, and the incumbent is a man who has used corrupt politics to rise to power, feign caring for the middle class, while living lavishly on the public's money, and stripping their most cherished entitlements Soc. Sec. and Medicare of funds to support them. One is an achiever, the other is a public speaker. One will lead and support American achievement and liberty, while the other demonstrates 4 years of failure and dependence of the masses on government largess. We simply need to remember Patrick Henry's famous quote "give me liberty or give death" and the choice of who to vote for is clear.

Everything I've seen of Mrs. Obama indicates that she's a class act. The same could be said of Ann Romney.

I prefer Obama's policies to Mitt's "give it all to the rich" policies. Mitt's Bain years indicate that he's willing to do anything, ANYTHING, no matter who gets hurt in the process, to make a buck for himself.

I look forward to Mrs. Obama's speech.

Or, to put it another way, the guy who has been trying, in the face of continual obstruction from those on the far right, to work for the benefit of ALL the people of the United States (and who has improved the financial conditions in the country despite the absolutely hellacious mess he inherited and despite the obstructionism he had to deal with) or the guy whose proposed policies would work to the benefit of the mega-wealthy to the detriment of everyone else and whose programs and policies in the past harmed a lot of people so that the mega-wealthy could prosper even more. (See -- I can play the exaggeration game too.)

I don't want either of these guys. Surely both parties could do better. But, when all is said and done, Mitt is NOT the person who will work for the good of all the country, and we deserve better.

too bad we can't push a dislike button on nasty comments. But grateful there are more positive comments for Mrs. Obama than negative! I think she is wonderful and certainly an aset to President Obama, his Presidential race and the country as a whole. Looking forward to hearing her. Obama/Biden 2012

Growing up minutes from the Romneys, and Cranbrook the private prep school Mitt attended, I can assure you the man was not self made. He had a lot of help and dollars to become the man he is today. When you explore his policies and postitions you see that they favor the weathly, the privaleged and those aspiring just that. Obama's policies tend to favor those who are closer to his upbringing. The choice this election is quite stark and should become more evident throughout the Fall.
Obama has accomplished a lot in his first term keeping the country and the world from sliding into a depression, comprehensive health care reform while bringing the hammer down on Al Quidea. He should be answering the Republicans claim we are worse off than we were 4 years ago with a simple statement "Look at your 401 K statement, have the piece of mind your family can be covered with health insurance, and feel safe that we continue to hunt down the terrorist enemies of the free world"!

A mocking, hate filled comment about Mrs. Obama in the DN.

Who could have possibly imagined?
