After living in countries where their Presidents and police/Army type states gang up and thwart protestors with guns, sticks, and tear gas in martial law conditions, it is not exactly freedom of the press or individual rights. Voters are asked who they voted for by Army personnel when exiting the polls. We are fortunate to have a balanced government, whether at the state or federal level that still protect our individual rights and freedoms.
We have been blessed to have the Founding Fathers trying to protect our freedoms into the future by their actions, thoughts and prayers. Other people have not been as blessed as their governments want to control almost all their actions, thoughts and not allow them to pray as we have an opportunity to do.
Our men and women and families of military members have stood up to the call of protecting our freedoms, even during a civil war and at the cost of many, many lives, even civilian casualties. Thank goodness for level minded leaders, especially a President Lincoln that eventually gave his life for the cause of freedom.
What a blessing we enjoy, every day, due to men and women sacrificing their time/lives
