Good job, Miners! Way to represent Utah against a very talented opponent! I hope
the Bingham coaches can get their offense squared away, like their defense seems
to be. It sounds to me like Bowles beat out Stout in the QB roll this game, so
maybe they can get rid of this inefficient 2 QB offense and finally nail down
their leader so their offense can show some confidence and consistency. Both are
skilled QB's, so I understand the dilema, but with Region play around the
corner, it's time to make a decision.Stout: Passing Stats -
0.524% on 11-21 pass attempts, for 142 yards. Rushing Stats - 10 carries for -10
yards and 1 TD. (Stats are from first two games played)Bowles:
Passing Stats - 0.600% on 6-10 pass attempts, for 58 yards. Rushing Stats - 26
carries for 110 yards (most rushing yards on team) and 2 TD's. (Stats are
from first two games played)From the sounds of it, Bowles performed
better than Stout in yesterday's game, and since he can accurately throw
and also run with the ball, he's the more practical choice.Thoughts anyone?
Oh Great Writer of the Headlines, it was not 2OT, just OT.
That was a fun game to be at. Valor was the best team Bingham has played since
trinity I think. The #5 kid is the best player I've seen plain high school
in a long time. Great game.I don't know who I would go with,
just when I think one is pulling away from the other he starts to fall off and
the other one steps up. It will be interesting to see what they do.
What a game!! Bingham's D once again is proven to be a dominating force,
except for a few big plays by #5, they held them in check all game long. The O
needs serious help. I would go with #11 at QB he has toughness and emotion when
he is out there. You have got to go with one QB. It just doesn't allow the
O to gel with 2 QB's. Valor is a quality team with classy players. #5 is a
stud but blew it on that muffed punt, not sure if the coaching staff made that
call or he was just trying to make a play. Loved to see Bingham pull out this
win against an out of state powerhouse. Go MINERS. I don't see Bingham
losing another game until the playoffs. But hopefully state can be achieved if
the O gets it going.markymarkI don't think so, that
California team was huge and athletic, better than this Valor team by far IMO.
And Bingham's O was a lot better last year.
@ markymarkAlta had a higher national ranking than Christian Valor.
So did Jordan. That is not the best team that Bingham has faced since Trinity.
Maybe you could have said that last year about Valor Christian, but they now
have lost two straight games. The top Utah teams rank higher than the top teams
from Colorado this year in high school football. Nevertheless, it was a great
win for Bingham. Way to make Utah High School football shine.
@jarka-rusI was at the Orange Lutheran game and the Valor game. And
from my point of view Valor was a much better team. Bingham just didn't
even show up against OL. Its hard for high school teams to travel.
Bingham's O is basically the same minus the running back from last year,
who was a stud. They lost an average qb from last year and have average ones
this year. Good thing they have the best staff in the state to get it figured
out. A lot of there problems have been injuries in my opinion. they have had 2
tight ends playing O-Line. @ Prep fanaticIf there is
anything I know its that ranking mean nothing towards how good a team really is.
Especially in the national rankings, its impossible to get it right or even
close. So the fact that other teams are ranked higher than Valor means nothing
to me. Im just telling what i saw with my own eyes and I've been to almost
every Bingham game for a long time. Out of state Included
I heard that the Bingham TE was poked in the eye, which is why he dropped 3 more
passes. That is too bad. Maybe Bingham will just go to the ground game the rest
of the year and switch #6 to DB full time. Maybe even move Cantwell over to
defense as well.
Will you call Stanford and tell them he dropped 1 pass on saturday, they might
pull his offer.
Ok....Good win for Bingham... much needed.... and it showed how much
better they can be with 2 division one recruits back on the line that both
missed the ALTA game, Hicks and Lotellelie or how ever you spell his name the
Nose Guard... so It was good to see them have some more push, I still think
Jordan is the team to Beat this year.....Which hurts me to say more
then anything in the world... but I was very happy to see that they were losing
to EAST, and that both there two athletic WRs they got in from CALI both got
denied hardship by the UHSAA. The only reason both of them came to Sandy was for
Kafentziz, and football. A uncle in Sandy ???Really how dumb do you
think UHSAA IS?Back to Bingham,Needs to find more offense,
realize you have weapons to use, and your not doing much of it... but Im soooooo
sick of this TE from Bingham... who is talked up by peck.. is skinny, and is
SCARED to get hit. OVERRATED.. shows ya its all about potential. HOLT was the
same way, talked up, ALL TALK.
markymark....I am sure the Stanford coaches have seen film. I get it....your son
is a great player, I hope he finishes the season strong. I am sure with hard
work he can get his catches over 50% by the end of the season.
Binghamalum:The uhsaa approved one of the 3 kids that moved here for
football from cali. So they at least got 1. Bingham will get it
figured out I wouldn't worry too much about them, they have the best staff
Bingham Alum: Hicks didn't play in the game on Saturday.
