Romney supports access to abortion in cases of rape, incest and if the life of the woman is in danger — a departure from the Republican Party platform.
FYI ---
The OFFICIAL GOP party platform is No-Abortions, ever, under ANY circumstances.
So,
The Republicans platform is not in-harmony with the teachings of the LDS church which DOES allow for Rape, Incest, and Life and Health of the Woman.
Interesting....
Now it's official

Don't forget the LDS Church teachings also allow pregnancy termination if there is a fatal fetal deformity AND, according to the requirements for temple sealing, life is considered to begin when there has been a birth and the newborn has drawn a breath (I know THAT from personal knowledge -- my miscarried fetuses could not be sealed to my husband and me because they had not lived). Even full-term still-births cannot be sealed because they did not draw a breath and, therefore, did not live.
I would have ehoped that Mitt would require that the platform conformed with LDS teachings. He didn't.
