Twitter as with many forms of communication abilities is like anything else, we need to exercise balance. It may be the latest craze and we want to be accepted of the world but it is not the personal touch that talking with each other can produce. With a Masters' degree in technology I know we need to have technology but we need to balance our lives and not just communicate by devices, even though you go throughout the world and cell phones or mini-computers in hand is one way to get news, it is not the same as personal communication for some.
It is a great tool for quick response in hopes that someone will discuss those items with someone else to get personal thoughts and feelings. Twitter is a good form and forum for some but should not become the time-consuming tool that takes over one's life and destiny. Moderation is a great principle, even after many decades of not being the in-thing to do.
