Yes, but what's really important in America these days? Money or people?

Democracy is for sale. It's as simple as that.

In 2008, when Barack Obama's fund-raising set new records, it was an achievement in political involvement. My, how times have changed. Money is evil, now that the Republican have more of it.

Nate, the money in Obama's first campaign came from multitudes of small donations from ordinary Americans.

Since the Supreme Court's terrible decision in Citizens United, virtually all the conservative money has come from a very small group of anonymous big money donors who may contribute unlimited sums. That is where the evil lies.

Reverse one word in your sentence, and it is also true.

"...virtually all the [liberal] money has come from a very small group of anonymous big money donors who may contribute unlimited sums."

Why is it evil for one, and not for the other?

Conservativs don't complain about 'citizens united' because the know if favors them.

Democrats are implementing conservative ideas from 20 years ago. Why settle for that when republicans will go all out for the corporate agenda?

This is not an election, it's an auction.
