Can't wait to see all of them in action this season!! Go Utes!!
Worthy choices. No freshman class since 1999 hasn't won a bcs bowl game and you had better believe these guys know it. If Wynn can stay healthy I don't see a weakness other than the inconsistent kicking game. Hopefully not too many games come down to a field goal from distance. The guys haven't forgotten what leaving the game to chance kickers does. With no Oregon and no Stanford and USC at home I don't see a game I don't like our chances. I will be there rain or shine, will U?

"I wil be there rain or shine, will U?"
Duckhunter will be. Maybe not physically, but mentally he is always at the U.

Utah doesn't have a prayer of beating USC, but if U can figure out how to beat a PAC team with a winning record, U might have a chance of finishing 2nd in the South.
Mussingaround --------In case you didn't know..the game against USC last year was at USC and the Utes could have tied it with a field goal at the very end of the game. That being said, the Utes have a fair chance of beating USC in Salt Lake...
re: Chris B
An inconsistent kicking game should scare you greatly or have you forgotten the Colorado and USC games already ? Also, you should also consider the O-line a weakness. If they're going to start a true freshman at LT, the O-line is scary.

USC also didn't have anything to play for last year either. That won't be the case this year. Don't plan on the utes winning that game.
All of these young men are great players and good leaders. I am pleased to see Matthews in that group. He has worked extremely hard in his time at the U. Star is to be commended for returning this year. He passed up what would have been a guarantee in the draft to invest one more year of improving himself and the Utes. Kruger has been rock solid for three years. And, we all know the power of the Wolfman.
Our 4 tickets just showed up. Very happy for the schedule. I know Kyle won't let the guys overlook anyone but most of us fans are focused clear up the USC game.
I wonder why Devonte Christopher wasn't picked? Oh well, high expectations for the Utes!

coulda, shoulda, woulda
After giving up three 1st quarter touchdowns at #1-ranked, AP national champion USC, the worst BYU team in almost 60 years (4-8) only trailed USC 21-18 with just over 4 minutes left in the game.
An interception at the BYU 32 and a fumble at the BYU 12 lead to two late USC touchdowns.
Final Score
BYU 18
USC 35
Total Yards
BYU 359
USC 306
---------------------
Trailing USC 17-14, the Utes and Trojans traded possessions until a couple of late completions and a USC pass interference call with less than a minute left, gave Utah an opportunity to tie the game with a 41-yard FG try, which was blocked and returned for a touchdown by USC.
Final Score
Utah 14
USC 23
Total Yards
Utah 319
USC 416

btw
USC destroyed BYU in 2004, 42-10 at BYU
Don't be too surprised if USC does the same thing to Utah in 2012.
Interesting history lesson Rockwell.
So both BYU 2003 and Utah 2011 trailed at USC by 3 points with about 4 minutes to go.
USC 2003 was playing for a possible national championship, which the Trojans won.
USC 2011 had absolutely nothing to play for, because of Reggie Bush, who played for USC 2003.
Those who say USC had nothing to play for are wrong. Each and every one of those players wanted to win, period. I know I wouldn't coast through a season because I couldn't play in a bowl game; in fact, I'd want to destroy every team I played to show my team was still around and worthy of attention.
Giving the Trojans a scare last year may have ruined Utah's best chance for pulling an upset in RES. USC won't make the mistake of overlooking the Utes this year.
@utahute16
And quite obviously mentally you are always with me.
LOL!
