"We need our field goal kickers to be accurate, maybe hit a little higher percentage than they have, but other than that...," A little higher percentage? Really? Sounds like one out of three would be great! That's a whopping 33 percent improvement from the Colorado game! Those are pretty good looking stats. On paper!!!

Ya they messed up, it's a new season and I have full confidence in whit getting every facet in order for a run at the roses. With a very favorable schedule in Colorado(even though we choked), Arizona, ucla, and Arizona state all in building mode and with no Oregon and USC at home there isn't a game my money won't be on the red. I wil be there rain or shine, will U?

Coach Hill you do realize that your job is on the line this year. If the kicking and special teams do not improve, you will be looking for new employment. Special teams needs to be dependable, and consistent it cannot be hit and miss as it was last year.

My son won a homecoming game with his field goal kicking ability. It would have been miserable had he missed it, for everyone that night.

It's a thankless job when you screw up. I guess with all the stats from last season the Utes losing to Colorado was a fluke.

It's so ironic that the BYU / Utah game was fluke as well.

As Jim McKay of ABC Sports so eloquently announced at the beginning of ABC's Wide World of Sports "... and the agony of defeat". So is the life of a kicker that misses that one kick, and another, and another in one game.

Those are some mental cobwebs to overcome.

I'm glad we have both of these kickers back for this year. Overall, they did a great job last year. The loss to Colorado was a team effort and I wouldn't put all the blame on the kickers.

Sammy is right that it is a thankless job - it seems that people only notice when a mistake is made. I would not call a 54 point beat down a fluke however. I would refer to that as domination.

Can't wait for the season to begin.

Go Utes!
