Yep, put on a turtle neck, lock your doors, and stay inside. Don't talk to strangers, and certainly dont' date people who don't have a list of references you can check out.
Your suggestions are easily thwarted by a clever predator.
The best advise is to never date anyone you've met on line until you've interfaced with him many times face-to-face in safe social settings such as church parties. You need to know him well including any friends and especially family.
Oh, and it would help if you are not here illegally.
Way to blame the women/ victims for the actions of someone else.
