Comments about ‘High school football: Region 6 loaded with championship contenders’

First, I believe WX won a title in the late 1980's led by Kit Rawlins.

Second, this is a great league in 4A but I think Region 1 in 5A, Region 3 in 5A and Region 4 in 5A are better leagues from top to bottom. In 4A I think Region 5 looks to be a good league with Logan the returning champs and Mountain Crest returning to form. Box Elder and Sky View are decent teams as well. They are not as good as the third and fourth place teams from Region 6 certainly but the pair of Bonneville and Roy are probably better than Cyprus and Clearfield on the bottom end.

@eagle If you really think that region 5 is better than region 6 then you must not follow Utah high school football a whole lot. and to say that Bonneville and Roy are better than Clearfield and Cyprus is a joke. Clearfield has been a sleeping giant for the past 3-4 years and now that they have a new coach in Will Hawes, who knows what they are capable of this year. And Cyprus isn't good but with a new coach too who knows. We all know what Roy is about, Freddy has been running the same scheme since his days back at WX and they have a good but veryyyy overrated qb in skidmore. I have seen him play and watched some of his scrimmages this year and if you can get pressure on him(which everyone will because they have a very weak, horrible o-line) then he will force a lot of balls resulting in picks. Logan and Mountain Crest are the only two good teams in region 5 compared to 6 where you have East, Highland, Bountiful, Woods Cross, and a decent Clearfield team. I agree on 5a 1,and 3 being better though.
