Republicans in big wind states such as Iowa, Texas, and Colorado can't believe Romney has been attacking an industry that provides significant jobs and economic benefit for their home states. Some of my colleagues there say that they may not like Obama, but they won't vote for an anti-wind presidential candidate. Too much more of this kind of talk from Romney, and he'll lose Iowa and Colorado for sure. Colorado has major manufacturing for wind, and Iowa gets 20 percent of its electricity from wind.
So far, Romney's only other major statement on energy has been his support of the Keystone pipeline to import Canadian oil to America.
Thus, Romney's FOR importing oil and fast-tracking a pipeline through America's agricultural heartland to bring it in so profits can funnel back to Canada. However, he's AGAINST domestic, price-stable clean energy that is creating local jobs and economic profits to America's agricultural heartland and American landowners.
