I thought that 'hope and change' was a feeble minded bumper sticker during the last campaign. This time I find myself hoping for change. A change from the liberal policies that this country has been saddled with by democrats and republicans. No matter what your pet issue is you have to see that a prosperous economy is the only way to achieve it in the long term. You want a clean environment, law enforcement, help for the poor, quality education, solid infrastructure, retirement programs, public services, national defense, parks? Then you better FIRST make sure that we have a strong economy because it is the source for all of those things. Then make sure our government lives within its means.
You care about defense? Imagine that we cannot afford to pay soldiers.
You care about the poor? Imagine that there are breadlines and people are starving.
You care about law enforcement? Imagine that no one answers when you call 911.
You care about the environment? Imagine that people are burning coal in there homes to keep from freezing.
Say I am exaggerating and it could never happen? I hope you are right...
