Do we have any examples where such prayer demonstrably had any effect on anything?
Is "turning the nation around" even consistent with Christian concepts about these Latter-Day?
I wonder if a more consistent prayer might not be to bring the Second Coming... “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus, come!"?
On the other-hand, is there any reason to believe that anything Man does will alter the course of corruption, evil, wickedness, destruction and redemption that we know is in our near, Latter-Day future? Why would the Lord "turn the nation around"?
On the other other-hand Apostle Packer has recently admonished that we carry on, getting married and having children.
It's all very confusing.
I say watch, therefore, and wait.
the answer to pray will be that obama loses election as it will never turn around as long as he is in office.
