Definitely a major problem in today's US governmental mess.
Consrepubs just belittled women and their health issues before jetting home.
Nothing of substance, no decisions, AGAIN.

So the Democrats believe that there is enough money for a "$200 billion-plus package to renew dozens of tax breaks for businesses such as biodiesel and wind energy producers" yet we can't afford to continue the Obama tax breaks (formerly Bush tax breaks)?

If we are lucky, maybe they will take a break until January.

They must be exhausted after all that effort expended blaming each other and accomplishing nothing beyond voting 33 times to repeal ObamaCare.

So Congress will find a way to extend tax breaks and fund the govt for 6 months, but Reid refuses to aid farmers suffering drought conditions for 12 months, stating that a 5 year drought relief plan is required. How does Harry know drought conditions 5 years from now?

The top income earners in America pay 80% of the income taxes. Nearly 50% of Americans pay no income tax at all. The federal government can't control spending for decades, but since Obama has been in the White House deficit spending has grown dramatically, yet the economy continues to limp towards another recession. Democrat's solution is to raise $80+ billion by letting the Bush tax cuts expire for those earning over $200K, or couples earning over $250K. The tax raised in this way will not even touch the $1.2 Trillion in deficit spending, or the $16 Trillion federal debt.

Congress is inept. Obama is a disaster. America suffers.

It would be wise to vote against incumbents and change the culture of DC.

Tax reform should broaden the tax base, not be used to punish political opponents or reward allies.

Federal spending must be controlled & reduced.

Who needs Congress? Forget checks and balances. Just give Obama a pen to sign executive orders.

Perhaps the five week lay-off will bring some healing to the country.
