Welcome aboard Brandon!
The return of a great program continues to look more and more likely. I'm glad to see the coaches going after so much of the local talent. There's more talent in the state of Utah than previous coaches ever believed.
From a loyal Cougar fan, I'm very happy that Utah is getting some good talent again. The games have become quite a bit less fun as of late. It'll be nice when they're rolling again so Utah has better representation in the NCAA tourney.
Welcome to the U Brandon! The Running Utes are on the road to recovery. I am looking forward to the upcomming season.
That's a great comment Unca Bon. That's good sportsmanship. I remember feeling the same way in the 90s when byu had fallen off in basketball. Sure it's fun to pound your rival once in a while. But once you've done that, I want to see them get back up and have a good competition again.
Welcome welcome Mr. Miller. Looking for great things as Coach K is starting to build a strong foundation.
Thanks Bon,
I remember cheering for BYU as they were pulling their program out of the 1-26 hole. Since then, BYU has surpassed Utah. Hopefully the Utes can now get back on equal footing with the Cougars... it just makes sports viewing in the state of Utah more fun when both programs are healthy.
The Utes need baby steps to climb back. These local recruits are going to be giant leaps in climbing back.
Nice pickup for the Utes and good for Brandon. With him being an unrated PG and having no other scholarship offers (Harvard wanted him but they don't offer athletic scholarships) it was fortunate for him that Utah came in with his only offer. He might have been able to walk on at Utah Valley or Southern Utah or maybe Weber St but this is a little closer to home for him and saves his parents from having to drive.
BYU already has 4 commits (2 national top 20 players and a 3 star PF) and is saving the last possible scholly for Jabari. There just wasn't any room and they can't possibly take everyone. Its fortunate that programs like Snow, UofU, Weber and Westminster are out there so that less talented local players can still play close to home and get an education. Good job Coach Krysko! Congrats Brandon!
Big Cougar,
Did you even read the article? Brandon is going to be a senior in high school this year. He is a bit off the radar right now but come next spring after a stellar senior season he will be getting plenty of attention and your words will embarrass you.
Kudos to the other BYU fans who posted some classy comments here.
BTW, Brandon will be a player at the U when the new basketball training facility is finished. From what I hear it will be every bit as good as the new football training center now under construction.
