Freudian slip. When I first read the headline, I honestly thought it said 'weird'.
Chicken and Egg question...
Utah #1 wired.
Utah #1 on-line porn.
Co-incidence?
What is most irritating about this is most of the small communities are "wired" because of federal subsidies to connect America's small towns. If it were not for these "corporate aide" programs, the cost justification to run fibre or copper to theses towns would not ever see a payback. And yet people are so quick to forget or ever hammer the government for doing nothing right, they forget these little things.
Under a "true" capitalist system, these towns would still be without internet, would be living on dial up, and have very limited cell services.
But lets give corporations all the credit for this, and forget that very often these accomplishments servicing small town America come with subsidies to make them happen.
And LDS LIberal - you really needed to go there?
re: Counter Intelligence
Just imagine how far back people would have to set their clocks back if Utah weren't plugged in.
As for "wired", you mean it has nothing to do with caffeine?

Some advice, if I may,... Lighten Up.

Utah is NOT what most people stereotype it as. The fact that it is "wired" is only surprising to the sanctimonious pc folks who like to say things like; "welcome to Utah, set your clocks back 20 years", who are generally oblivious to their own propensity towards intolerant labels

==================
We just started re-cycling in Davis County last year.
We had been doing it in Seattle for over the last 20 years.
"welcome to Utah, set your clocks back 20 years",
It the shoe/label fits - wear it.
BTW - Building codes for residential homes in Seattle --
All exterior walls must have 2x6s not 2x4s.
Better for eathquakes and 3-4 times more energy efficient to heat and cool.
Give it another 20-30 more years and a few earthquakes, Utah [with it's due for a BIG one, and hotter and cooler temperatures] will finally wake up and get with the times.
LDS Liberal you really must lighten up. You will find that most states across the United States still only use 2X4 for framing. Only in certain circumstances are 2X6 used.
Also, as far as number one in pornography you really need to take a look at why. No adult book stores in Utah. Getting porongraphic material in stores is difficult to obtain and certain other things makes it much more easier to get on the internet than around town.
Secondly, you will also find that the highest degree of pornography in the state is actually in none LDS areas. That is not to say LDS members don't have it, just that the greater usage is in none LDS areas. If you even listen to General Conference you will also know why the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve speak so much against it.
Time to quit living in Seattle and live in Utah. Find good where you are at, don't worry so much about what is bad.
