It used to be if the US had a cold, Europe had pneumonia. It may be true still to some extent. We certainly can do a lot to improve our economy, but raising taxes, increasing spending, hiring thousands more government workers, adding red tape by the thousands of pages, restricting education, high taxes, and Keynesian spending bills take the life out of an economy.
