    Best sequel was the followup to the first Burton film. Who can forget Michelle Pfeifer as Catwoman? It was such a great performance... Then again, that's been Batman's appeal... the villains are what makes the Bat. The Joker, Penguin, Catwoman... all fantastic characters... The Batman's a great contrast for reflection, because they all have warped backgrounds--just like the Bat, but unlike them, he's trying to fight evil...

    I find the sequels to be generally full of themselves. Star Wars started out as a fun adventure. By the time you got to the third iteration it was dark nonsense.
    I don't know why they do it. Are they trying to be artsy? Did they run out of material?
    Each new film gets further away from family entertainment.
