Kyle Korver is 6-7. Jimmer is not.
Personally, I think it's the shoes. How can you have confidence wearing Spaldings? :)

What do you think last years draft was about? Teams past on Jimmer, and did not trade up, down, or sideways to get him because he does not fit their systems.
Jimmermania still lives a little.
Where would Jimmer fit on the Jazz?
I understand the love for Jimmer but think it through. Do ya'll want Jimmer playing over Mo Williams, Alec Burks, and Gordon Hayward?
Jimmer was a legendary college player. That ship has sailed and he will be fighting for the NBA journeyman role from here on out.
I will eat crow if I am wrong, but things are turning out for Jimmer the way I thought they would. I do think he could be more productive on a new team, and he might light up the scoreboard on occasion, but Jimmer is a low minute guy who can give a team a long range spark off the bench from time to time (a la Eddie House).
Good luck to Jimmer nonetheless.
Smart's history with young guards stink... Just ask Jeremy Linn... 2 years ago he was burried at the end of Smart's bench, last year he was staring for the NY Knicks and this year he is a 3 year $25M contract free agent heading to Houston...
The Kings simply aren't the NBA Team best suited for Jimmer... IMHO, they have both the worst ownership and coaching in the League.
Jimmer is just not all that good.
Pass him on to us!!!
Jimmer will dominate ward ball for years to come.
He can't guard is own shadow! He doesn't have NBA point guard skills. He isn't going to get the benefit of shooting thirty attempts a night. He is too small for a shooting guard in the NBA. In college he didn't face six foot seven guards that were quicker than him every night. Average height two guards can shoot over him with ease! He has more than playing for a terrible team going against him!
I can't believe one of you guys is comparing Jimmer's first year to Stockton's? First of all Stockton had Hall of Fame guard skills right from the start. He couldn't shoot a lick, but his ball handling skills and passing where exceptional. Jimmer is a gunner, he didn't have to pass or guard anyone in college. Korver is on his way to yet another team, in spite of his shooting ability, he just doesn't defend. Championship teams need defenders. And Korver is much taller than Jimmer, at least he can get a hand up!
If Jimmer makes it, he will be for 10 minute's as a backup. There is no doubt that he can shoot, so he will score a bunch on occasion (like Korver). There will also be the 2 for 10 nights. Starting minutes will probably not happen because he is too small for a two, and not good enough for a NBA point. That's why he slipped in the draft!
The NBA mindset is ruining Jimmer as a contributing player. I have to agree, no one wants to allow him to be Jimmer. Sure, there are other players that are given the green light to hog the ball and shoot etc., but not Jimmer. In my opinion, it might have a lot to do with egos and the color of his skin. He's white. How many star basketball players are white, and I mean current ones, new one? Not that many -- the veterans don't count. It seems apparent that his coach has no idea what he's doing which has caused Jimmer a lot of confusion on the court. Perhaps Sacramento was and is NOT the right team fit for him. I think he should be traded before the beginning of the season.
The bottom line is the fact that Fredette can't play. He is pathetic.........worst defensive player in the history of basketball!!!!! Maybe he will get baby tended in Europe, but not in the NBA. You have to produce or you are GONE!
The career Jimmer may want to consider is coaching basketball in Utah County. He'd be an icon and idol for the rest of his life.
@ Dennis,
I absolutely agree. Fredette is a "God" in Utah County. In fact, he would make LaVell Edwards look like Charles Manson in terms of popularity there. James Taft has a great demeanor and could recruit like a wizard. He is actually a very classy, normal person. I admire him immensely, but he cannot play NBA ball at all, sadly.
Jimmer who?
BYu is a gold mine for Fredette. He cannot play pro sports, but he can deliver for the the LDS Church for sure.
@MiP
I liked your comment, and I agree with some of your points, but I disagree with others. Going to NY? Instead of playing with a bunch of rookie ballhogs, he'd play with a bunch of veteran ballhogs, which is essentially the same thing.
