Three Factors affecting this artificially low number:
1. Hottest heat wave in the Eastern United States recorded history.
2. Fourth of July fell in the middle of the week so applications would be down.
3. Auto Industry summer shut downs delayed. But GM just announced 8,500 layoff's.
Also remember that the Department of Labor has adjusted the first time claims number up for 42 of the past 43 weeks by at an average of 4,000 also.
Using the Department of Labor unemployment measurement scale in place when President Clinton was leading would show the unemployment rate at 14.9 percent!
This past week 300,000 more Americans just had their unemployment benefits of any type end! 23,800,000 Americans are unemployed. 47,200,000 people are on Food stamps.
Last week President Obama said the Middle class was just fine!
June 27 on ABC Vice President Biden said the United States was in a Recession!
Which is it? According to Joshua Bernstein(Obama's Economic Advisor during the first two years) has said President Obama's plan has failed!
President Obama has had a bad 3 1/2 years and its getting worse!
